Fast intermediate plus ride. 16+ MPH
Departure is 6:00PM from the Parking Lot on Dix Park in front of the Flower Cottage. We will meet up starting at 5:00 at the Joasis to PreGame for the ride. We will then head over to Dix about 5:50 to meet the other riders and Depart Dix Park PROMPTLY at 6:00 PM.
From Dix park the ride is about 12miles long. We ride through Dix, past NC State Centennial Campus then onto the Walnut Creek Greenway then around Lake Johnson.
We stop at the Lake Johnson Boat House for a rest for about 15 minutes and you can charge your board there. If you get less than 15mi range please bring your charger.
The ride takes about one hour and 30 minutes depending on the skill of the riders. We wait for all new riders but this is an intermediate level ride and not for new riders. You should have several 12+ mile rides completed and able to maintain 16 MPH moving on Greenway
We all wait up at each street crossing for the team to get caught up.
After we return back to Dix we have a night ride BONUS. We typically go to Morgan Food Hall for a quick bite and a drink and a charge top off. We then ride another 8+ miles through downtown or NC State main campus. Eric Nichols has offered to lead the Night time After ride when he is available. Bring a charger and a head lamp.
