Join us for the Second Sunday Slow Roll, sponsored by The Float Life!

Halloween Slow-Roll

PARK AT THE NCMA BUS PARKING LOT. (click the link for Google map) Assembling in the bus parking is a condition of our NCMA permit, so please don't park elsewhere.

The Slow Roll will include a couple of laps around the NCMA grounds, a greenway ride to Raleigh Brewing Company (RBC) for a few beverages, then a return to the NCMA.

We will meet at 11:00 and will leave for the first NCMA lap at 11:15. Completion time is estimated.

Video game character slow-roll

Slow Rolls are group rides intended for onewheels, e-skates, electric unicycles, ebikes. Other personal electronic vehicles and bikes are welcome to join. Riders under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Prom Slow-Roll

PLEASE WEAR A HELMET. You are responsible for your safety.

Slow Rolls are for the widest possible range of skills and experience, so we wait for all riders after each NCMA lap and before setting off for RBC. If you're Sendy McSendleton, please keep the presence of beginners in mind before doing your thing.

Oak City Onewheel at Raleigh Brewing company.

The Slow Roll route is paved, although there are some spots where some riders might occasionally detour to unpaved alternate routes.

It is possible for most XR riders and kids on Pints to do this ride without recharging. Nevertheless, we encourage people to bring their chargers and top up at RBC if they're not sure about the range.

US Disc Golf Championship

Oak City Onewheel Partners with the US Disc Golf Championship: Bringing the Stoke to Rock Hill!

We are beyond stoked to announce that Oak City Onewheel has been invited to partner with the United States Disc Golf Championship (USDGC) this year! As one of the premier events in disc golf, the USDGC draws top talent and enthusiastic fans from all over the world, and we’re proud to be part of this amazing event happening in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

What We’re Bringing to the Championship

At Oak City Onewheel, our mission has always been about building community, sharing the stoke, and introducing as many people as possible to the joy of riding. That's why we’re excited to offer free Onewheel demos and trick riding showcases throughout the USDGC event.

1. Free Onewheel Riding Lessons: Never been on a Onewheel? No problem! Our experienced riders will be there to provide hands-on lessons for riders of all levels. Whether you're a complete beginner or just curious about what Onewheeling is all about, we’ll be guiding participants through the basics—so you can get your balance, start cruising, and feel the freedom of floating.

2. Trick Riding Demos: Prepare to be amazed by some epic Onewheel trick riding from our crew! We’ll be showing off some of the wildest tricks you’ve ever seen on a single wheel—everything from tight turns and jumps to smooth slides. If you’re attending the USDGC, you’ll get a front-row seat to the action as we demonstrate the creativity and skill that comes with Onewheeling.

3. Stoke and Fun All Weekend Long: We believe Onewheeling and disc golf have a lot in common—they both celebrate outdoor fun, creativity, and community. That’s why we can’t wait to share our passion with the disc golf world. Whether you’re watching a round of disc golf, relaxing between matches, or just curious to see what the hype is about, swing by the Oak City Onewheel zone to catch all the action.

What is the USDGC?

For those unfamiliar, the United States Disc Golf Championship is one of the most prestigious events in the sport of disc golf. Each year, the best disc golfers from around the world descend upon the Winthrop Gold Course to compete for the championship title. The event is known for its challenging course and fierce competition, making it one of the most anticipated tournaments on the disc golf calendar.

With Oak City Onewheel adding a dose of stoke, we’ll be making sure that even when discs aren’t flying, the fun doesn’t stop!

Join Us at the USDGC!

If you're attending the USDGC this year, make sure to stop by our booth for free Onewheel lessons, or just to watch our team show off some amazing tricks. We’ll be around all weekend, spreading the stoke and helping newcomers discover the excitement of riding a Onewheel.

We’re excited to be part of this incredible event, and we can’t wait to share our love for Onewheel riding with the disc golf community. So, get ready to float with Oak City Onewheel at the US Disc Golf Championship—we'll see you in Rock Hill!

Stay tuned for more updates and behind-the-scenes content leading up to the event. Don’t forget to follow us on social media for all the latest news and highlights from the championship!

Olympic Night at Holly Springs Salamanders Game

Come on out for our second event at the Holly Springs Salamanders! This time it's Olympic night, so we'll come up with some Olympic-themed shenanigans (and costumes if so inclined). I'll plan a nighttime ride event after the game on 540 (assuming it's not opened yet) from Holly Springs as well for anyone who can stay after the game. Please add to your calendars now and I'll post up more details in coming weeks before the event!

Oak City is partnering in 2024 with the Holly Springs Salamanders to spread the stoke and grow our community! This will be the first game we go to to entertain the crowds and show them what Squirrel Life is all about! The theme is "Halfway to Halloween" so we ALL have costumes in the closet (probably multiple) so plan to pick one and come out and shred on the field with us! More details to come, including a practice date so we can practice our "show" together, likely in May post-ShredFest. Put this on your calendar today!

Joasis Tuesday Night Ride: Season 5

The ride takes about one hour and 30 minutes, depending on the skill of the riders. We wait for all new riders, but this is an intermediate-level ride and not for new riders.

It would be best if you have several 12+ mile rides ridng your prefered device. It is also best if you are able to maintain 16 MPH moving on pavement, greenways, and hard pack dirt. Helmets are Required, and we recommend pads such as wrist guards, elbow pads, and knee pads.

We all wait up at each street crossing for the team to get caught up.
