After years of seeing cool videos, I decided to get a Onewheel and I had no idea the profound impact that the community would have on my life. I was on a trip to Charlotte, riding my two month old XR when I bumped into the amazing Charlotte OneWheel crew. I ended up riding with them all night and seeing them ride in ways that I couldn't imagine but then: they told me there was an awesome riding group in Raleigh and they were about to host the first Oak City Shredfest!

I started riding with Oak City OneWheel and getting ready to not make a fool out of myself at Shred Fest. I was so intimidated by their riding abilities but I felt so welcome and instantly wanted to ride with them as much as possible. The fest was amazing, such an awesome group of riders from all over were there and the locals made feel so welcome. Me being a man of many talents and seeing how awesome and scrappy this non-profit event was, I really wanted to help it succeed in any way that I could.
